About Christeen Grant


She is a prolific photographer, illustrator and fine artist. A keen hiker, in 2005 she completed a five day 'Mini Traverse', (75kms at over 3000m) from the Sentinel to Cathedral Peak.
In 2007 Christeen became an Honorary (Voluntary) Officer with Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife in the Southern Drakensberg as well as qualifying as a Nature and Cultural Guide for the KZN Drakensberg, and in 2010 she qualified as a Mountain Walking Guide. She is registered with all the relevant authorities including THETA (Tourism Hospitality Education and Training Authority) and Tourism KwaZulu Natal (KZN 1025). In addition to being an accredited AMAFA Rock Art Custodian, she also holds the necessary First Aid Certificate and a Professional Driving Permit.
Since qualifying she has successfully completed many guiding trips, which include 4x4 driving on Sani Pass, multi-day Lesotho cultural trips, rock art walks, nature walks, and wildflower photography courses. These trips have mainly been for Drakensberg Adventures www.drakensbergadventures.co.za. Christeen is very involved on a voluntary basis with ‘Custodians of Rare and Endangered Wildflowers’ (CREW) in the Boston area of KwaZulu-Natal and wider afield.
