About Guided Hiking Trips in Other Parts of South Africa

It is envisioned that such trips would be extensions of Drakensberg hikes, where clients would like to experience other mountain wilderness areas accompanied by the same guide or guides as they had used in the Drakensberg.
The Cederberg Wilderness Area

Cederberg hiking trips could include day hiking from suitable accommodation and / or multi-day hiking trips from 2 to 5 days carrying all kit and food and sleeping in tents. It is possible that a hiking trip to this area could be combined with a visit to Cape Town and its surrounds.
The Wolkberg Wilderness Area

Wolkberg hiking trips would be multi-day trips from 3 to 5 days carrying all kit and food and sleeping in tents. It is possible that such a hiking trip could be combined with a visit to the Kruger National Park.
Magaliesburg Area
The Magaliesburg Natural Area provides the closest unspoilt hiking to the metropolis of Johannesburg and Pretoria. Made up of hard, resistant quartzites, and rising an average of 330 metres above the surrounding plains, the Magaliesburg harbours a considerable diversity of indigenous species of plant and is home to more than 150 species of birds. The Magaliesburg was declared a Natural Area in 1977.
Magaliesburg hiking trips would comprise day hikes from a suitable accommodation establishment or campsite. It is possible that such trips could be combined with a stay in the Johannesburg area, when arriving or leaving the country.
All the above trips would be ‘tailor made’ to suit the clients personal requirements, interests and fitness levels.
