When making enquiries it would be helpful if you could supply the following information:


  1. •How many days and the dates you wish to hike, trek or pony trek.

  2. •The type of hike, trek or pony trek that interests you (it could be a combination of two or more).

  3. •The number of people in your group, their age and genders.

  4. •Some information about you and your group’s past hiking, (backpacking carrying kit), trekking or pony trekking experience if any.

  5. •If enquiring about a hiking trip, whether you require food or any other kit to be supplied.


From there a proposed itinerary will be drafted, and once agreed to, a quote will be prepared.


Following final approval by the clients, Philip Grant, Christeen Grant and Southern Secrets will only consider bookings fully confirmed when a deposit of 50% of the total guiding fee (plus all bank charges) has been received.


This deposit would only be refundable if Philip Grant, Christeen Grant, Southern Secrets (or their agents), were unable to guide or run the trip, but not if the trip was cancelled by the clients due to bad weather or for any other reason. In such instances alternatives would be offered wherever possible.


If food is required, payment for this would normally be required with the deposit, or at least seven days before the start of the trip. The balance of the total fee is payable before the trip starts.
